Hello, I'm Janie and I am so happy
you have stopped by.
This is a little history about me, my artwork,
and some thank you's to the people
who have helped me get to where I am at today.
I've got a long way to go and much to learn,
but I'd never want to miss the dance.

The Dance, by Garth Brooks
Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared beneath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known you'd ever say goodbye
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I the king
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey who's to say you know I might have changed it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

When I was young, I always had a pencil in my hand. I could never go anywhere without a pile of paper and a few pencils with me. I was always trying to draw something. I was so lucky to have been encouraged by my parents.

My Mother once told me, Janie, paint what touches your heart-then you'll touch others. She taught me, that
staying in the lines in my color books was not important. It's more important to have fun and make it your own.
I learned to shade when I colored. That faces have shadows. I started seeing things all around me in a different way. How the light shines and creates highlights.
I was hooked once I could see.

I went to some formal art training after high school. A couple years of Commercial Art at our local School, and then later to Graphics Art and Printing for a couple years.

I worked as Graphic Artist for a Newspaper then decided to focus on one area of art. I choose painting animals and began to learn about Ebay where I have met other artists like myself and we have a wonderful time sharing information and just being friends.

I have learned lots since I first started here and much of it from fellow artists like myself. I am glad to help others getting started as I believe you should give back-what goes around comes around and also it's enjoyable.

I am happy to say I am expanding my animal art to other breeds of dogs and my cafepress shop is growing larger with more designs then ever to pick from. I thank you all that have supported my shop as well as my Ebay sales.

I have now expanded into taking Pets & People Photos and am excited to say I have my fist real Studio.

It was a big jump-opening a business at the Mall here, but well worth it. I have met many more wonderful people and little Fur People too.

We are expanding fast, into Western-Old Time Photos in our Shop.

My Ladyjanes website was down awhile due to technical problems but I am rebuilding it and hope it wil be better then ever. Thanks for coming back to take another look, Janie.
